About North-West Economic Region

The Northwest economic region presents a natural, climate, geographic, economic, unique entity consisting of 34 municipalities in NWR. It is characterized by a diversity of natural and geographic features, good geo-strategic position and significant natural potentials. More than 1,100,000 inhabitants (26% of the total estimated population of BiH) and an area of 17.077,45 km2 (33,35% of country’s territory) make NWR the biggest economic region in BiH.
